What is EDI 214?
Electronic Data Interchange i.e. EDI 214 is a transaction code set used in Electronic Data Interchange. This code is used to represent any Transportation Carrier Shipment Status Message. It is generally used by the transportation Carriers. Many of the trucking companies use this code to provide information to the consignees and shippers regarding the status of the Shipments.
This basic EDI 214 code document consists of these below information:
- Name and Address of shipper
- Addresses and Coordinates of the shippers location
- Pickup date and time
- Estimated delivery date and time
